Undergraduate Stipends & Support
The UNCA-WCU Sloan Scholar Program offers community, conference travel, and professional development opportunities, along with a $3,000 stipend for UNCA students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis while funding is available. Interested students are invited to apply here.
Attendance at National AISES Meetings
The UNCA-WCU Sloan Scholar Program supports students’ participation in annual AISES conferences. These events provide opportunities for exchanges with Indigenous students in STEM fields along with professionals in academia and industry.
